Hi! I haven’t seen a post about this yet, so I figured I’d start a thread for the 2023 cohort at New York Presbyterian. I accepted a job offer, did all of my onboarding (background check application, online forms, etc.), fingerprints, and scheduled my medical clearance apt for next week but haven’t heard anything in a week or two. My start date is supposed to be Jan 17th and I feel like there is other stuff to be done like ordering scrubs, getting access to email account, etc. Not sure if it is just weird timing with the holidays and New years or if there really is anything else that needs to be done or not. Was wondering if anyone else was running into a similar situation.

Hi I am graduating soon and looking to apply there is there a specific residency program or did you just apply directly to a job listing for RN?

Hi,
Congratulations! I am going to graduate in May 2023, and I am interested in critical care. Like @fyefelicia, I would like to know if there's a residency program. Can you share more about the application and interview process?

Hello @Rose249 !
Congratulations on the job! Is the residency program built into the new grad listings or did you apply separately?
Thank you & I hope it's going well!

Congratulations!
I am interested in Adult ED and am following this thread re: new grad residency. When did you graduate and when did you start applying? Thanks!

Congrats!
Like many of you, I graduate in May 2023 and am looking for the new grad position at NYP children's hospital. Is there a specific posting for new grads that we should look for? I would appreciate the help!

Has anyone heard where we can apply for their residency programs? Do we have to graduate and take the NCLEX before applying?

I am wondering this too, were you able to find an answer? I'm assuming we just apply for a position and are automatically put into the residency?

Hello All,
I recently accepted a position at NYP and when you accept a position you are automatically enrolled in the new grad residency program. No separate listing for that.

I'm confused about how to get into the residency program, so you saying just apply for an opening like let's say a full-time ER Position, but every position asks for some type of experience, does that matter, because as a new grad, we don't have experience, will they still look at our applications?
I'm in New Grad residency with someone who got into the ED without any experience. I'm a new grad that got excepted for a float position. It really depends on your resume and how well you do in the interview process. Don't let the need for experience stop you from applying. They have to train you regardless to their policies etc. I applied to a lot of positions that required experienced and yes I got turned down but you'll have some that's will to take the chance.
