NYP New Grad "Invite Only" Career Event

Hi All,

Over the last month or so I've been slowly making my way through New York Presbyterian's New Grad Nursing Program application process. After applying online several times unsuccessfully, I finally recieved news that I was being considered for new graduate opportunities at all NYP locations. I was then asked to complete a Nursing Career Battery Test. About a week after the test I was phoned and asked if I would be interested in attending an interview 'meet and greet' (if you will) with several nursing directors at the campus of my choice.

So here's my question! Has anyone been through this process (or something similar) at NYP? I'm trying to figure out what I'm in for in terms of this interview process. I've been told to bring 15 copies of my resume along with some other documentation. This opportunity is something that I'm desperate to make happen so any and all insight is appreciated.

I was invited too after i took the battery test!!!!!! I am pretty excited to go!!!!! :) I tried to find out some info about this and couldn't find any...........maybe it is a new thing??? anyways, hope this is going to lead to something potential!!! :) lets keep our fingers crossed!

I've noticed that other people who were invited to these events have different locations. Does that mean the location our career event is at is where we'll potentially be hired or do other hospitals come as well?

When i got the call, the person asked me which specialty im interested in and which campus i prefer then she sent me an email accordingly.....so i assume location where we can potentially be hired??!!

I received a voicemail inviting me to this event. The woman said that she would follow up with an e-mail and let me know more information, but I never received one! I got the voicemail on 05/24, but she only left her first name and no call back number or e-mail address, and I have not heard from her since! Can someone tell me when this event is supposed to be? Or possibly who I can contact about obtaining more info. Thank you!!

@humblenutse no i got decline from nyp period however *** wasn't the one I spoke to but I do have her email address.

@kiki1984 Sorry to hear that. How did you find out? Did someone email you? Their application process is so confusing. Could you possibly send me her email?
