NYP ED nurse residency 2019

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Does anyone have any insights to NYP's nurse residency and the interview process? I was reading that applicants were invited to submit a supplemental application/essay and I wanted to know if that was prior to the first interview (phone or in-person) or after.

Hey,

I applied about week ago, and on Tuesday got an email asking to set up a phone interview. I picked the next day. It was brief, 6 minutes to be exact, the girl then told me the specifics of the the program, and it may require an essay, and a two year commitment to NYP, she then asked if I would be available April 8 and/or 9th, should the hiring team decided to move forward.

I checked my NYP careers application status the next day, and it said “no longer being considered.”

Super bummed. And not even an email to say “Hey, sorry you’re out of the running.”

Hope you have better luck than me ??‍♀️

oh man that does suck ? they really should be able to alert you that you're out of the running or have their career site software shoot you an email regarding status.

Update: got the email to submit an essay last night and some of my friends got it as well. The status on their career site is listed as assessment/reference.

If you don't mind me asking since I am applying for this years residency program how long did it take NYP to contact you after you submitted your application? And did you get the job? Thanks!

Has anyone heard back from the NYP 2020 Residency program yet, for ED? Even a first contact after submitting an application?

Hi,

I know this is an old post - I am wondering you ever heard back after your status going to assessment/reference?
