hey, I was a transfer student, I transferred from Farmingdale with about 40-50 credits. The admission process took about 4-5 weeks. First they sent me an email accepting me and then I got my acceptance package in the mail about a week later.
My GPA was a 3.1 (pretty low), But NYIT accepts you with a GPA as low as 2.75 (thats the requirement).
I also received a Transfer Scholarship for 11,000 a year. Which is pretty good because NYIT is expensive !!!!
Thing you need in order to be admitted to the program:
- college/high school transcripts
- 300-350 word essay explaining your desire to work in the nursing field
- 2 reference letter
- C+ or better in the science courses you completed
AND
- Minimum GPA of 2.75

I got accepted into NYIT (new york institute of technology) fall 2016 nursing program.
I was wondering if anyone else has gotten into their program. Did you already register for your classes for the Fall semester? Is Bio-Organic Chem a hard subject ?
I wanted to know if anyone is going to be dorming or do you live close to the school?
I already registered for 4 classes already, Bio-Organic Chem, Anthropology, Human devoplement and Foundations of Inquiry. The nursing courses starts next spring, 2017
