NYC Health + Hospitals Interview Process

Has anyone gone through the interview process at NYC HHC? I interviewed for a med/surg position this morning & I feel like it went well. However they didn't ask for references or say what the next steps in the process would be. They said they'd be in touch by Thursday next week. Is this normal or a sign that it didn't go so great? Please let me know if you have had any experience with their hiring process! thank youu

Yes, just finished my first year there on a surgical floor. Sounds normal, if you feel like it went well you probably got it. They are desperate for nurses as there’s a lot of turnover right now.

Their website! I’ve submitted probably 50 or 60 hahaha It’s kinda discouraging to hear no that many times but from the advice people have given me it seems to be all about numbers like just keep submitting & eventually one will reach out. You’re welcome to PM me for more info! :)

Thanks for the info! That is kinda encouraging. I've been sending endless applications into the void, trying to painstakingly customize my cover letters and stuff -- but it does feel a bit futile sometimes. Hope all goes well for you.

Hi there, I am wondering if you both were Winter or Spring grads? And is 50 or 60 apps actually what I need to submit to get someone to respond? LOL feels like a lot but willing to do so!!
