I just spoke with admissions and they said that they are only filling California spots as of now. She told me she was willing to note if I had a new preference for CA clinical spots so maybe you should do that if you truly are willing to!

I did not. I also got my interview invite later than others and interviewed one of the last days I believe. I know that my clinical site preferences on the initial email did not match the actual survey so maybe they had already updated them. I don't know? Haha maybe reading too much into this
