I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
I am in a similar position. I am a Florida resident and have been out of school for more than three years and because of life I wasn't working. So instead of taking a $2000.00 course, I studied hard and started working in an LTACH with my LPN License. I passed the NCLEX in NY in April of 2023. I am still waiting on a license number because my school has closed its RN program. The school is still open, Concorde Career College. The only thing I need is a pass report from NY BON. I keep getting denied.
Does any one know a way around this?
Good Luck everyone is waiting for the same thing. NY is not going to release it. People have been waiting for two years already. Many people have just retested in Florida instead of keep waiting for probably nothing at the end. They are only letting people get licenses from schools that are nationally accredited from Florida not approved schools.

NY has to apply judgment for the transfer students defraud by not only JC, but other schools as well. JC was taken to court already and will not be the last time they are taken. Everyone is entitled to take legal action for economic damages

Jc?

Jc was taken to court years ago for not allowing students to take there NCLEX due to not passing exit exam. Jersey College has nothing to do with a student leaving and going to FL to defraud system. And why is everyone fixated on Jersey college when there were people from other schools and some never even went to nursing school.
NYBON is not going to do anything about it cause if they were; they would of put there license on hold. People move on or either relocate to FL or go back to school. Waiting 2 to 3 years is wasting time

People who defraud the system of course, Jersey College has nothing to do with that. But JC is guilty in stopping graduation bc of an exit exam. That's defrauding the system on their part.

Yes, an NJBON didn't do anything, but the school had started letting people take there boards. NJBON is very strict when it comes to students that fraud system same as Texas

That was a couple years ago when they reported to NJBON when friend told me. But they went back to there old ways after that. They let some people go so it wouldn't look bad

That is true. But that is the problem that hospitals are having when these RN's are applying from these schools
