I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

I'm the meantime, there's people struggling waiting to be licensed. People get together and sue the people in the board behind this nonsense
That make no sense people in the board are not the ones that sent them to the board. Blame the school. NJ dosent have that problem with there board, NY does because the majority of those students were NY residents. Must people don't know NJ schools will weed u out. But let's not play the blame game. If u have the majority of NY people going to florida it raises a red flag especially such a large number

Now, if there is a problem verify who's a transfer to Carleen and who never attended any classes at all. It's been 2 to 3 years, the amount of money people are losing is outrageous. It shouldn't already been done. It don't take that long to verify who has a federal school loan and who doesn't. Get together sue these stupidity
The majority of these schools are cash paid, no student loan cause there's government program backing them. No accreditation, no loan. That is the biggest red flag for an Registered Nurse program. Waiting 2 to 3 years is crazy. U might as well start another school and make sure it's in NY so u don't run into problems. Or u can wait it out and hope they one day open it up or go to Florida.
Just being logical

If there wasn't any type of fake diplomas being sold on the side then there would not been an issue. These Florida schools had acreddiation but were still approved. The original problem with these Florida schools were the low pass rates. Florida regulated that with probational periods and then closure with no improvement in pass rates. Despite being approved you still had to go class and attend clinicals like any other nursing school. Alot of students are suffering because they went to these schools and did the work legitimately but were unaware of the underhanded selling of diplomas without any schooling. Reputation of the school goes to *** along with your diploma. You now have that stigma just because you went to a Florida school and are considered a fraud even though you did your due diligence. It is really a sad situation.

And these are the nurses that NY Allowed to keep there license and work without putting there license on hold untill investigation is completed. Ny set a standard of showing others if u got a license your OK but for rest we will not allow. Blame NY BON, I have never seen anything like this, allowing someone to practice a profession while being investigated with no consequences

Yes it is crazy and really unfair. NYBON needs to do better.
That's what I don't understand and no one has yet to answer what's up with holding the scores hostage? This is a national exam release the danm scores to wherever we want to go. NY always felt entitled to people things anyway. If I paid for my exam and passed what makes it right for you to hold on to it. First of NY have the Att so what's the issue. They just never like to be wrong but of course you have the ones collecting a check from the board talking about we're playing the blaming games. How about they go after the people who scammed and still hold a license.

Very true but unfortunately they don't care. They claim to set a standard; but how can u when u allow those to keep a license and still work. Make it make sense. They only lie to the public to cover up that they still have all these nurses that committed fraud to have active license to work. They should be put on hold just like the rest until they complete their investigation.
As I stated before all this is for show wait till a crisis happens and they need nurses and boom!! The hold up would end. Ever since Covid they came up with customer service will only answer calls 2x/week Tuesday and Thursday but now Covid is done what happened to M-F ????
I have reached out to a couple of people to demand a solution as far as releasing our passed pearson vue score.
The nursing board states that I have applied to be licensed, had requested by mail the aNclec results to NYBON and haven't received any answer.
We have passed the exam, they need to release our scores. I believe if we get organized, we can get better results pressuring for a response. Reaching out as a group would be more effective.
My state requested it as well and I paid $20 to have it sent when o called they told me the $20 is non refundable and will not release scores make it make sense. I think we just need to send email to the state senator

What I'm saying is that those people who went to school in New Jersey, never had the ATT sent to the New York State board of nursing by the school and never went the Florida route. There's a whole bunch of them. Why aren't they being investigated either? How did they get this approve if the school never sent for their ATT. They have an active license and working. There's no oversight for any state board of nursing so there's no one to complaint. The only solution is to sue the people behind the NY board of nurses
