I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

What about BSN programs that don't use any credits from the previous school? The program requires RN licensure, not transfers from other nursing schools. They are ACEN accredited.

When a school is under review by NYS and you have already passed the NCLEX but have not gotten an official NYS license this is what you do.
You can go on NYS BON website request written verification when it asks for license # just put 000000 and then have it sent to the state you want to be licensed in
The only way that will work is if school is willing to send an official transcript showing that you have graduated from a BSN nursing program and with a degree and graduation date. but if they are waiting for you to take and pass NCLEX first than you are still stuck.

What happens to students who passed the NCLEX and are on hold indefinitely?
Would it be okay to apply with a BSN or MSN from a different school? Should that education amend the current app or should the student submit a new app altogether?
if you have taken NCLEX and passed you should be able to request a score report be sent to your school ( if they will accept that) and then once a bachelor's degree as been earned use that as the education aspect for Nursing application and no a new one will not need to be submitted unless it has been longer then 5 years since orginally was submitted

What school is this ? I tried applying to 2 schools and they’re requiring my transcripts which I have no access too because the school won’t take my calls because of the investigation they have gone completely ghost.

Does this work for any state or only Florida ? Can I endorse to another state using this process. I am licensed in Florida but unable to endorse anywhere outside of Florida.
if you can't get a hold of the school you can alway contact that states department of education or nursing board they can tell you who holds education records and possibly send them to you or to another school who needs them
I tried applying to a RN to BSN program and they need transcripts from the school. The school doesn't answer so I don't know how to obtain those transcripts.
Hey all I wanted to let you know that NYBON will stop sending out NCLEX scores for schools under review. I just got off the phone with them for an update on my license and this is what they've told me. If you are considering having your scores sent to FL or anywhere else I would do this ASAP or you will be stuck until the review is over.
I wonder why the change all of a sudden . I just hope they will open back soon
There has been a change to the NYS BON policy of sending out a passing grade report, for nurses who went to a school that is currently under review. (I.E. Palm Beach, Techni-Pro, Azure)
Previously, if an applicant went to an under review school and had managed to pass the NCLEX exam, but was not granted a license, then they could request that a passing grade report be mailed to another state. They would use this passing grade report as a basis for becoming licensed in the other state , but they could not endorse the license back to New York at this time.
From now on NYS BON will no longer send the passing grade results to another state. The file is on-hold and we will not verify the applicants information to the other state. they will no longer offer this as an option or fullfill the caller's request
