Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Is FL BON also investigating their schools here! I heard Maryland won't hire nurses from FL don't know how true that is.

I don't think anyone will hire Nurses from schools on the list until everything is settled. It's just bad for everyone. I don't think FL cares because they told on of my friends that the schools are good with them so the students can still get their licenses but with the proof they have to revoke licenses especially with the FBI involved

OMG! Like I said my friend went to carleen for her review she's freaking out  because she's planning on moving to Maryland she's on a stand still. Gosh so frustrating

She just has to wait like everyone else until the investigation is over because people from schools on the list who are working are being laid off until further notice. If she has proof that she went to clinicals and classes that add up to 16-24 months she can send that end with the help of a lawyer and try to get her license but I'm not sure it will help until she gets a letter from the BON

She's licensed in the state of Florida she has a compact license. She got her license back in early 2020 I believe

She can be licensed in Florida but if she just sat in a class for a few days. They will eventually get to her and take it away.

Did some of you went to carleen, can't get a hold of her so was Carleen review course legit then???

A review is just a review. If your friend never took Nursing classes anywhere and did training at a hospital while in class then she never went to school to qualify to be a Nurse.

She couldn't pass the exit at southeastern college that's why she went to carleen

Well she can provide her transcripts from that school to prove she completed a program if they ever send her a letter

The only 3 schools on that list that have officially been investigated are the 3 that's all over the news . The others are on there most likely because of low pass rates...that list was made by someone here on the blog it's no where online so it's a he say she say situation. And it clearly says only ny BON no other and that's probably becaus people flock to ny for the unlimited test. As far as hci aboit time they lied to my class the whole 2 years about getting the accn accreditation. Til this day they still don't have it

The crucial part means were they an accredited by a nursing PROGRAM agency (ACEN, CCNE)??And I mean nursing a true nursing accreditation!  Were they only approved by a minimal standard?

Prospective students shouldn't assume that just because an institution "presents a good face online" it means they're accredited,  Nursing program Accreditation information has to be listed on an online program's website –. along with graduation and NCLEX pass rates. Did you see them?

Did you have to pay upfront, make monthly payments, pay your bill in full to get your information/graduation/courses completed to the Florida state board? ( The difference between these words creates a lot of problems..1) did you go there thinking your were going to an accredited nursing program?  (a program that really looks at the NURSING part of the program)? 2) Were you provided guided instruction with actual patients....not just pawned off to an R.N. Did you have a dedicated nursing instructor that was there to teach YOU?

Was it the student's fault? Would you buy a car with less information than it runs well now. I am very glad you posted here because these programs that prey on students' dreams need to have strong regulations to stop the scamming. Florida I am looking at YOU

I would have to say that yes people preyed on folks.but these people who decided to take the easy route are also to take accountability. They knew purchasing transcripts were wrong on all levels. They knew that without the proper training lives would be at stake and is going to cause more problems than good. They were not considerate of those who actually put in the time for training and learning. And ultimately didn't do the proper research on these schools.  Prime example on the list of schools that is posted on here of schools under review by new York.. revelation  university  in Florida ( when googled searched comes up as a theology school not even offering a nursing program) but yet people are sending in transcripts saying they went to and graduated from a nursing program  from that school.
