I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
The letter clearly states med life from west palm beach.which you guys know what's going on with that lady. Why are you guys panicking

Actually siting in a seat does not guarantee you were delivered the education you thought your were getting. Blow up the phones with your state congressman/woman.
Here is the site: put in your zip code https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
Where I worked we had a relative of the Governor come in for tests......ONLY Tests. The whole room was repainted...new bed,. Great private corner room.
Politicians do not get the same treatment....
If the school was closed. How were student able to take the NCLEX? The state also said it was accredited school. How is this the student fault.

The crucial part means were they an accredited by a nursing PROGRAM agency (ACEN, CCNE)??And I mean nursing a true nursing accreditation! Were they only approved by a minimal standard?
Prospective students shouldn't assume that just because an institution "presents a good face online" it means they're accredited, Nursing program Accreditation information has to be listed on an online program's website –. along with graduation and NCLEX pass rates. Did you see them?
Did you have to pay upfront, make monthly payments, pay your bill in full to get your information/graduation/courses completed to the Florida state board? ( The difference between these words creates a lot of problems..1) did you go there thinking your were going to an accredited nursing program? (a program that really looks at the NURSING part of the program)? 2) Were you provided guided instruction with actual patients....not just pawned off to an R.N. Did you have a dedicated nursing instructor that was there to teach YOU?
Was it the student's fault? Would you buy a car with less information than it runs well now. I am very glad you posted here because these programs that prey on students' dreams need to have strong regulations to stop the scamming. Florida I am looking at YOU

I am very sorry I was so negative but 'scammers' prey on people not questioning false promises. I truly hope you will be able to get your RN license. Complain to the Florida state and your own state rep. The Department of Education in Florida allowed this to be a money generating activity for the owners.
Keep your sorry, that's your opinion. Some Innocent students were not pawned off to an R.N. thank you!
Did you guys hear about HCI ongoing lawsuit thought they were accredited.

What's HCI?
HCI college in west palm beach they are suing b/c they claimed they did not get the proper training were forced to go other schools to sit for the NCLEX because they make it impossible for the students to pass the exit , I think the board should come forward instead letting everyone guessing and stressing

My friend called Med-life at Lauderlakes location and they said the same thing to her. They don't know why NY wants nothing from them but the lady only bought that location and they don't understand why they are in the mess.
