Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

What I'm trying to understand is that if 3 schools were part of the fraud investigation by FBI and were reported on the news why are other people posting that these other schools were part of it? The other schools weren't mentioned on the news so let's not start spreading information that we don't have all the details on.

That person is posting inaccurate information. The schools caught for fraud made the news. Those schools are under review because they have a low passing NCLEX percentage and pretty much any Florida program will be under education review. They are checking too see if they meet the requirements in NY. If Any BON sees school as not meeting requirements you will not be issued a ATT and if you passed three boards you will not be issued a license. You would have to get a nursing education that meets NY BON requirements.

And most people just did their boards in NY because it's unlimited and cheaper than CT to do it which is always unlimited unlike FL. So a lot of people don't care to work in NY and just want to further their education

Oh wow I was wondering why New York because it's unlimited but they have to endorse it here

Oo wow I didn't know that but it makes sense.

Yup... Florida you get 3 chances and then you have to take remedial classes and a lot of people don't want to go through that stress especially if they have test taking anxiety so people choose to take the NCLEX in unlimited states like Connecticut, New York and Iowa amount others and just get an endorsement for the state they live in.

Oh wow the things you learn . I'm glad I passed first attempt

What happens if you passed on your third attempt

You get your license...

If you tested and passed on your 3rd attempt in FL, you're good. If you didn't then you have to look for an approved remedial course on the site before you are approved for your 4th attempt or you take the exam in another state

Oh I did pass on my 3rd but ny still holding it. I'm praying they issue me a license because I was in class and everything hmm

New York is going to hold it until the review is done

Oh, that's a different case. No one is getting anything until their review of all those other schools are over. They will either let go the scores and you just endorse in another state and continue your education to get your BSN and then apply for a NY license with that
