I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
I'm just curious to why everyone goes to New York for boards rather than just take it in Florida if you're from Florida ?
@Gators_95 because Ny has numerous attempts. But this causes red flag with so many going there and then they investigate, so its realy not a good idea. Ny is will block a school if it notice too many people from other state schools wanted to take there exams there
So are they still revoking licenses even if you have a BSN or?
Cause Florida has only 3 attempts. If you fail NCLEX 3 times you have to take remediation class. I took mine in Florida. Passed NCLEX exam first try.
Yes took mine is Florida also a passed first try. Carleen no longer offers RN program only LPN. The school has been under investigation only by New York since sometime last year
I am now having issues with my recent background check on education because Carleen school is not responding to their request for my education verification. They will follow up with school in 2/2/23. Any student from Carleen, have you guys ever been in this situation?. I am from Florida. I have every clear except they waiting for information from Carleen. Should I be worried ?.

I did attend in class review at Carleen. My license didn't get revoked. They just denied my licensure because Carleen does not meet their requirements. No discripnary action against my license. I still have Florida license active.
