Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

2017 Palm beach Closed . And yes Medlife was still accapting students.

I am just trying to stop the corruption that is happening in many Florida LPN to RN schools who promise an ADN degree and after the schools do not meet the FBON and DOE requirements as specified by  Florida law, graduates who pass NCLEX have a license that limits them in the states they can work. I do not consider the recommendations for potential nursing programs, destined to fail the student in their dreams to be helpful. 

 

 

@Darp7288 so med-life institute, Naples location was not supposed to be accepting students in 2016. Or was that lady at palm beach still working for med life at that time

Their passing rates were so low, many had less than 20% (or less) passing NCLEX. You are saying one woman worked for:

Once again this is your opinion many people have become successful. There are success stories in many different paths people decide to take to get where they need to be. Many people Know of the risks they take when they sign up for these programs some are successful and some are not that is with any program.

Not sure but I did read something about Naples and Kissemee didn't do something right so people could continue getting aid. Not sure if the lady ever worked for either school. She had her own school which was a franchise.

 

Yes London Flo there are 4 schools on the list that the women worked for and the rest she might of had dealings with and two schools other schools 

on the list are ran by family members of the lady.

T Jasmine if you have not passed the NCLEX in NY apply for another unlimted state my friend went to medlife and NY would not issue her a ATT .She went to another unlimted state passed the exam and is waiting for CT to approve her license from the state she tested in they told her they have no issues with approving it. Although she will not be able to work in NY until she gets a BSN or until the investigation is over. CT is close enough for her to work and also New Jersey. You might try this route. T Jasmine- I wanted to ask if I can apply through endorsement to another state even if I can't get my NCLEX scores. I do have a license in another state.

@123jn123 only the original state you applied to can send your scores to the other states. Until then you would have to renew in the state you have it for already

@123jn123 I believe once the investigation is over and NY closes the case they will release scores
