Hi. Anyone knows if it's a hassle having a NY license and you want to work in NJ? I actually live in Bergen county but will go to school in NY for nursing. Do you need to take extra tests or something? Thanks in advance.

When you apply for your license, apply to the state board of the state where you want to work. If you intend to work in NJ, apply to NJ. When you register for the NCLEX you can specify which state board of nursing you want the results sent to.
So, even though you go to a NY school, you don't necessarily have to get a NY nursing license.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply! Its very helpful.
