NY, can't get my ATT after failed 2 NCLEX

Published

Hi, I am new to this website and need some serious advice...

I graduated in NY from June 2014. I registered and took the NCLEX exam for two times in March 2015 and around August in 2015, and I was unable to pass.

I registered through Pearsons again for the exam in September and called the NY state board for ATT in December. They stated that NYS Comparative Education Department is reviewing my school now and it would take 4 weeks to make a decision.I am wondering a reason why the state is holding graduated students from taking the exam(?).

Meanwhile, I contacted the school and they said they had nothing to do with my registration.

I am really upset now and I am just trying to find a solution out from the school or other resources , so I can sit in for the exam.

Anyone out there has experienced that situation before? Thank you very much.

Sounds like something that only the NY BON can answer. If it weren't for the "reviewing" your school issue, I would tell you that some states limit the # of attempts allowed to take NCLEX.

Thanks!

I also talked to my classmates, we have no cure of what's going on either with the school or the board???

Only half of the groups passed the exam. we are just worrying if the school has problems with the NY BON, are we going to be affected? I am really frustrated with the situation especially I am preparing for the exam now...
