Anyone out there that has applied for spring 2020 at NWFSC? Trying to patiently wait for results over here.

Hey everyone! I just recently found this forum. I received an email Wednesday stating that I didnt get a seat for this class but am #1 on the alternate list. So I’m just hoping I get a call within the next week or two! ??Congratulations to you all who made it. I’m wondering what my chances are if getting in.

Hey there! I made it in for spring however I applied for Fall 2019 and didnt make it. I am #1 on the list for that application cycle. I am still waiting to hear if a spot has opened for fall so it might take longer than a week or two but who knows. Every class is different. I wish you good luck and hope you get in!

That’s awesome you got in, but would be even more awesome if they call you for fall. I also applied for the LPN program at Okaloosa Technical College and was accepted. It starts Aug. 12, so that’s why I’m hoping to get a call from NWFSC before then so I can give my seat to someone else at OTC. The email stated they typically have a few seats come available but there’s no way to know when that could/would happen. This whole process is so nerve racking and stressful. Lol

Yes exactly! Well if I get in for the fall then maybe a spot will be open for you! My #1 spot expires August 19th but i imagine I'll hear something sooner. So many factors going on it's crazy but just keep your options open is what I tell myself. From others in last semester forum they seem to think being on the alternate list stands a good chance of getting in. Whatever happens congratulations on being accepted into the lvn program and I hope we both can move forward with our goals and hopefully find out asap. ?

Thank you so much and You are right! I have a good feeling it’ll work out just right. I’ll keep posting here as I find out more. Hopefully the next post will be of you getting in the fall and me in spring. I wish you the best!! We’ve got this!!

@Snicole10 Did you hear anything back yet? I am #1 on the LPN- RN alternate list for Spring and waiting is driving my insane! lol..

@Faithful89 Hi! I actually sent her an email a few days ago just to touch base and make sure that I was still #1 alternate for Spring2020 RN. She emailed me back just letting me know I'm still #1 and as soon as a spot opens up, they will let me know. She just said "hang in there" because there is still a ways to go until the semester starts. It's driving me crazy too! But we have no choice but just to wait it out. ? I'm praying we'll get news soon!!

Hi ladies. Just wanted to say congrats and I hope you get in. Also just wanted to tell you to study your med calculations. Over the summer everyone else was studying dimensional analysis. We tested early on the math and if you are rusty like myself then you may have extra homework! Good luck!

@Frsms I got in!! I start January 2020. I think maybe I took your seat! I will definitely start practicing on dimensional analysis. Thanks for the heads up. You are an LPN, right?! So, how are clinicals so far? Anything particular I should look out for? How expensive are books?

@faithful89 thats great congrats! Its nice you were notified much earlier than you probably thought. I found out super last minute so im trying to catch up on some things. We haven't started at an actual clinical site yet. Just reviewing skills. Books were 700-900 depending on the bundle you choose. The teachers are great! So happy for you!

@Faithful89 congratulations on getting in! How exciting..I’m hoping and still praying I get in as well. Just curious Did they call you or email you?

@Snicole10 Thank you! They called me. Did you apply for the LPN to RN program or the traditional RN program? Don't loose hope. People drop out all the time. The last day to RSVP into the program is Sept 15. So I would think soon after that you should hear something.
