NWFSC Nursing Program 2017

Published

I just finished my application yesterday. I was looking to see if anyone else had applied and what their overall scores were. 👍🏻

Apparently NWFSC's nursing program is very competitive. I wish you the best of luck.

Yea, but there aren't many other options in this small county. Thanks !

I guess if I don't get in, I'll apply at PSC.

Yeah if I don't make it I am going to apply to Panama City's spring program. The drive will be awful but after this semester I'll have taken every single class I need through the bsn. I regret not submitting an application there for the fall too :/ it seems like I would have been able to make their program easily.

The drive to Pensacola isn't too bad but I work at sacred Heart so having to drive another couple days would suck.

The scores that everyone is getting are ridiculously high! Or at least the ones from last year! April cant get here soon enough! My hesi scores were good(ish) lol but the fact that i live in santa rosa and not okaloosa killed my points.

What did you get?

87 composite :( but all together i get 78, because of the residency thing), i applied to the radiography program, as well but i got my heart set in nursing. Nursing seems so far gone for me now.

Isn't there a school that's closer to you? I wouldn't give up. Keep your head up, you never know.

Psc but I kind of screwed myself there when I went off on them for trying to get me to spend like 500 dollars to translate some documents from nursing school in Mexico. They weren't even going to count toward my college credits and I didnt use any type of financial aid. And UWF i would have to wait another year. Which is doable, but still frustrating. Ha ha. It's still stressful, I wish the selection process didn't invlude the residency thing, but I understand why they do it.

That stinks but they can't discriminate against you. At least it's still an option. I automatically get residency because of my husband. But I couldn't imagine missing those points for "no" reason.

What about Gulf Coast in Panama City? That is where i am going to apply if I don't get in. They have a spring program so it wont wipe out a whole year. It'll be over an hour drive for me but I feel like it is worth it if I can't get in. They do not require the A&P portion of the HESI and it seems like the program is less competitive too.
