Who applied for NWFSC Nursing for Fall 2020??

I think we’ll all get in with our scores! I heard the lowest score last year was a 103...or was it a 106? I can’t remember, but around there. But I do also have a feeling that it might be a little more competive this year; but the fall is always competitive. If we don’t get in we can always try for Spring, it’s way less competitive. I heard someone with a 75 in Anatomy got in for 2020. But anyways, I only have to take Nutrition. I’m debating whether to take a fast track class in March (with a bad teacher) or in the Summer with a good teacher.

I hope so! I know someone that got in with 105 last fall but I don’t want to count on it and still be realistic. It would make me very happy to make the cut this time though!

I’m pretty sure you will ?

I just took my second attempt of the HESI as well and I managed to get a total of 121 points. I’m super excited to start, hopefully they do tell us something soon. I heard that if we do get in, orientation is at the end of June. I believe my friend said June 27th. Have y’all taken all of your regular classes for nursing yet? (Like Micro or Nutrition?)

How did you do on your HESI?

Anatomy 100%
Math 96%
Vocabulary 96%
Grammar 92%
Reading Comprehension: 88%
The English portions were the hardest for me because English is my second language. I have 3 Bonus points for the credits since I just transferred last semester. How did you do?

???? at least I know I tried! I’ve waited a very long time for this opportunity.

Hey! Did you happen to take Micro last semester? @Kikicler

I’m taking it this semester! @NurseManny

I made a 100 in Anatomy, 96’s in Math, Reading and Vocab and 92’s I'm Grammar and Reading. And same goes for me, english is my second language and grammar was the hardest for me.

Oooooh okay, I assumed since you said you only had two classes. I took it last semester. I had a hate/love relationship with that class. It was THE hardest class I have ever taken at Northwest. I’ve never gotten a B in a class ever, and I got a B in that class. But I’m glad that I did. I was so afraid I would get a C.

Oh nice! Our scores were very similar! @NurseManny

Oh sorry for the miss understanding! I meant I’m just missing those 2 to do while in nursing school IF I get in this try. I’m actually enjoying Micro class but I lowered my expectations to a B LOL. Out of 3 tests so far I’m at a B+ so I may be able to bump it up to an A if I really try but I will be OK with the B.

It’s okay! And yeah! I loved Micro, the class was very interesting and I loved doing the experiments, it was just the teacher that made it difficult. If she changed her ways of teaching then it would’ve been much easier. That’s why I said I had a love/hate relationship. I loved the class but not so much how the teacher taught. Don’t get me wrong tho, Mrs.Hunt was a very nice person a very helpful, it was just her teaching ways.

Yeah I understand, it’s a little hard to follow at times or a little hard to know how to study for her tests but I do like her. At least I don’t dread the class so that’s a plus! I managed straight As last semester so I was hoping for the same this semester, not sure I’ll be able to accomplish it. I’m also retaking A&P 1 with McArthur because I took it 10 years ago and I wanted a refresher. His way of teaching A&P is very different and I love it.

Hi all! I am also applying! My 2nd attempt HESI scores took forever to post and made me super nervous. Was so glad to see if finally appear in my Evolve account LOL

They told me they were taking a while to post. I haven’t checked My report from today since it gives you the score immediately after each section. What’s your overall points towards your application?
