NVCC Fall 2020

For those that are applying to the Fall 2020 Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA/NVCC) Fall nursing program we'd like to invite you to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Make sure to review the information session and program application requirements on our application portal, www.nvcc.edu/medical/apply and our FAQ on our blog https://blogs.nvcc.edu/mecexchange . If you have advising questions drop our office a line by email at [email protected]. One of our advisors will respond. We recommend that if you have questions about your NOVA account, you contact us via your official NOVA student email address. When doing so include your ID number. that will allow our advisors to look up your account and answer questions in greater detail.

I completed a and p 2 amd another co req over the Spring semester and got A in both classes, I know those don't count.

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that, I wish they have let you know you were waitlisted! Hope everything works later in Florida. I don’t think they would see you’re Taking AP and a co reqs when you applied in Spring because classes werent finished but did you write That you were taking those classes in the comment section in the application? That is so frustrating! Side note, I live in Montclair too! I hope it goes well in FL, we PCSed here from Orlando.

Really bummed

The exact opposite kind of happened to me! I was going to go to Orlando for school but then got waitlisted and bc covid happened we had to stay here. But I know quite a lot about UCF, Valencia and Seminole state if you’re going to Orlando for nursing school!

@gailRN2B I have a question!! Do we have to wait until orientation to do our BLS certification? Or can I just sign up for a class now and get it out of the way ?

Did you end up getting in? I remember reading that you got the acceptance, then rejection email as well back in June.

It was in June for me, but I did see that someone recently got invited to the program

Oh okay, thank you for sharing. Again, a HUGE congratulations to you. Wishing you lots of success in the program. I was wondering if I should have reached out after my acceptance/rejection situation. Maybe wishful thinking.

I got mine done but make sure it’s through AHA or else it won’t be accepted
