Who is the instructor teaching it? I have had great experiences (I am also currently taking HSC200 online) and I have had some really bad experiences with online classes. It really depends on the professor and how they structure their class. Some online classes are VERY time consuming and overwhelming.
I know the regular nutrition class which I took a couple years ago with BS at downriver consisted of a lot of assignments, but they were fairly easy. The test were really easy if you did the reading assignments and over all the class was pretty straight forward. I don't see why the online version would be much different as I know from other students who took the on campus class did the exact same projects and assignments that I did so I think there may be some standard to that class. I could be wrong though.
Another place I have found very useful for professor grading is on myspace. There is a link on your home page where you can see what other myspace folks have said about their experiences. I have found that this one has professors that aren't on the ratemyprofessor site. Also, I don't know anything about those two professors. I wish I could help you with that!
The instructors are either Zabitz or Singleton if that helps. Do you know anything about them? Anybody else had these instructors?
I had zabitz online....she was a fair instructor, i liked her a lot, be prepared to do A LOT of work to get ur A, but this class is very involved either online or at campus, good luck!
I had Ms. Z***** for DT 130 online and it was fine. Nutrition is not a hard class but Ms. Z's online is just like all the others at WCCCD (translation:A lot of work-you will be busy with this class). If you like Dr. Q***k class is for Psy and HSC you will appreciate Ms. Z's class. She is very organized and clear with her directions.
Hope this helps,
Virginia
Thanks for the replies! I think I am going to take it online, this will be the only class I am taking for the summer semester, so I think I can manage the work load. I am currently taking A&P, so I am used to the hard work and studying...I was hoping for a break but oh well, might as well not get lazy now

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with nutrition online at wcccd. I was thinking about taking it for the summer but want to get some input before I decide. I am currently taking Lifespan Development online and I love it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks:nuke:
