Hi there! You can always ask advising as they'll be able to give you the correct information.
You can always try and take nutrition at one of the local community colleges; southwest TN community college offers nutrition as a day & evening class- the summer2 semester is due to finish on 7/8 though, so the earliest you could start would be the fall semester (8/28); and SWTCC also has an agreement with UofM so their stuff transfers over. Your first step though is to talk to advising at UofM and they'll be able to help you pick the best course of action from here :)
Good luck!!
Ok, so i just had a look, and I'm 99% sure that it's DIET1310 - Principles of Nutrition you need; it should transfer to UofM, but double check with them that this is course you need (I know it transfers to nearby Baptist, but I don't have UofM's transfer list to hand).
SWTCC offers 2 online classes this coming fall, taught by Profs Thelma Harris, and Megan Murphy. :)
I hope this helps!
Haha! Glad I could help!!
I moved to the Memphis area a few years back; I'm currently a student at SWTCC, and I'm a part-time tutor there (I even tutor DIET1310! haha)
I was originally going to apply to the SWTCC nursing program, but I decided that it'd be better in the long run for me to get my bachelors~ I'll be transferring to Baptist in the spring after one more action-packed semester of extra pre-reqs that I hadn't planned to take haha.
With all luck, I'll hopefully start Baptist's nursing program in the fall! I'm keeping my fingers crossed
Wow haha you're a nutrition specialist lol! I applied to Baptist as well for Spring 18. I attend Union University right now and hardly any of my credits were accepted by Baptist. So I'm not too thrilled about that. This is all really a time and mind consuming process. I hope everything works out for you and God's will be done. I'm definitely going to look into southwest, I think that's really my only option.

I have submitted a nursing application to University of Memphis(Spring 2018). After this Fall I will lack Nutrition and maybe 1 or 2 electives. Will they accept someone lacking Nutrition? I'm trying to find an Online Nutrition Class to take this Fall. Does anyone know of one to take or if they allow you to take it in the Summer?
