hi there,

I hear that oz permanent residents qualify for something called HECS?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to study to become a RN in a Brisbane University? and if you can elaborate on how much you paid per year assuming you were qualified for HECS?

Thanks for any advice

:)

HECS-HELP general details

When you pay your student contribution, you are paying for some of the cost of your university education while the Australian Government, through the Commonwealth Grant Scheme (CGS), pays the balance of the costs involved. The Government offers assistance in paying your student contribution through the Higher Education Loan Program, HECS-HELP.

Its always better to visit your preferred University and inquire on the Higher Education Loan Program.

Only Aust Citizens are eligible for HECS. As permanent resident, you only pay domestic fees. Please read the following link www.goingtouni.gov.au

hmmmm, i see, thanks for the info...i will check the website out...

did anyone visit the Nurses Expo at the Brisbane Convention Centre? lots of booths, I was able to get a lot of brochures from the Unis. unfortunately none of them knew whether or not a permanent resident qualified for HECS....
