So I have been looking the prereqs for Columbus State which I hope to start in the fall.
Just wondering what NURC 101 and 102 like? I can't find much of a description for what you do in the class and just wondering how many days the classes meet? I have 2 kids at home now and I am trying to do some planning for daycare.
Thank you, Jenny

hi! i took nurc101 a few yrs ago, and i am retaking it this quarter because i just started back in my lpn program and i want to get certified as a stna. they have some short term class offerings (8 wks) instead of the full quarter - and its usually 4 days a week, and 4 hrs a day, from what i have seen on the schedule. if you go to the cscc web site - you can view the course schedule.
the class was actually fun, and interesting. alot of it is basic common sense, with some hands on clinical learning. you will learn all the skills you need to pass the stna exam and provide basic patient care assisting with activities of daily living, feeding, bathing, transfering pts safely, mouth care, taking vitals, etc.
i hope this helps!

That's what I did, I took the first one (it was Mult 120 when I took it) in a half-quarter class. It's only 4 or 5 weeks long. We started at the beginning of fall quarter and were done by the end of October. I thought it would be boring to go to for several hours a day 4 days a week but our class became like a little family, it was neat.

Hi there, I took Nurc 101 in the fall and it wasn't so bad. It is mandatory attendance though. You can't miss a class and if you do you must make it up or you fail. I took it at southeast location and it the teacher was great (Kim Johnson). Clinical was fun too... Anyway, hope it helps!

I am interested in applying for the on line program. I currently live in the Cincinnati area and I having finding difficulty in finding a class to meet the NURC102 requirement that meets in the evening or on the weekend. Does anyone know of any other place (Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton) that I may take a class that would be acceptable for NURC 102 credit in the evenings or the weekend? I was able to take the Nurse Aid training through Cincinnati State however all their patient care classes take place during the week. Any help that you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
