I'm not sure how helpful this is, given the fact that I have bipolar disorder and not your particular diagnoses, but I can say that you are doing fine and that you should keep doing whatever you're doing to remain stable. Nursing school is stressful; of course you'll want to use your coping skills to keep it to a manageable level (I'm assuming you have both a psychiatrist and therapist). But there is no reason not to become a nurse if that's your heart's desire.
As for me, I had a mostly good career in which I moved up the ladder fairly quickly. I did get to the point where I burned out and then had to go on disability on account of my mental health issues, but that doesn't mean you'll do the same. I wish you the very best in your endeavors. You got this!

Is anyone going to nursing school or are already a nurse? I'm going back to nursing school. I'm finally stable after having three years of electro shock therapy. Been stable for 1 year. I have schizoaffective, borderline personality, and add. When I was in school last time I took Adderall and it made my symptoms worse. If you don't work in nursing have you gotten better and have a career? I am better and have been for a year. My medical and psychiatric team thinks I can do this and do it well. Cause of ect I forget alot of education and memories. I have had many troubles in the past but I am finally stable for a year. Does anyone have any of these mental illnesses? If so how do you remain healthy?
