nursing student needing help with psy

I'll be starting my psy rotation next week and not looking forward to it at all. We have to do a 5 page IPR. Would anyone like to give me input or have any websites that would help with this lovely assignment?

I'm an LPN and we had to do a 3 week rotation in psy. I didn't do as well as I would have liked to in the class and I would like to do well this time around. I need all the help I can get please....so please help me! Their are rumors stating that a lot of people havn't done well in the class last semester! So i'm really scared now because I'm usually an A or B student!!

The class doesn't start until next week and i've already started the readings trying to get a heads up of what to expect!

here are the links you need to help you with this assignment. the first is a website from a college that gives their students instructions on how to complete an ipr assignment, but you should follow the instructions that your teachers are giving you. the main thing that my instructors were looking for in these assignments (we had to do one each quarter in each of my clinical classes in my bsn program) was how we were classifying ours and the patient's statements and analyzing our mistakes. but those were my instructors. we were also allowed to tape the patient conversations with the patient's permission.

please! take the time to go through the slide shows, take notes and read the information that is there. it is what you will need to complete your assignment. those of us who have been through doing process recordings (iprs) know what we are talking about. i looked for and found these links a few months ago because your question does occasionally get asked by students whose instructors give them no other guidance on these kinds of projects. so, please read the information on the weblinks i posted for you and don't just file them away.

can anyone tell me what other ways i can chart "therapeutically" on a psych pt other than "encouraged pt to verbalize feelings"? the psych book we use does not have anything like this, neither does nursing made incred easy charting.
