Hi guys, I'm a newbie to your forum and I haven't read much but I know I want to be here!! Anyone from the West Plains, MO area? Ok. My question is: I have a previous bachelors degree and took all the loans that were available (so the financial aid office says) but nursing school (when I get accepted ) will be too much to swing my my income....does anyone know of any specific nursing degrees or a way to get around the fact that I've used the student loan thing before???

Try Sallie Mae. Good luck to you. :)

Look into second bachelor programs or a Master's Program. Many don't require you to be an RN. Check into the states scholarship program. Also, if you did a Master's it would be upper graduate which would allow you more aid.
I grew up in Mexico and Rolla, MO. I have heard of West Plains and have probably been there. I just don't remember exactly where it is located.
Good luck.

I've looked into the 2nd bachelors and from what my local school says there are no loans for me. So far the only scholarships I've located, I'm not qualified for (high school student going into nursing....). I am planning on doing the masters thing which will get me aid buttttt it'll be after the initials RN program. I'll try Sallie Mae though and see what I can find out!
Thanks :)
