  1. I was sondering if any one has hear about challenging the LPN boards after they are done with their first year of an RN program. Please let me know where I could get any information if there is such a thing!

check with your state board of practical nurse examiners

these are notorious for answering letters slow, go on line at your state site and see what information you can glean
then get some phone numbers and prepare to wait a long time on hold

    good luck

    Hi, myst1474!

You can link in to the website of your state board of nursing from allnurses. Run your mouse's cursor over the "Link" button at the top right of this page. A drop down menu appears. Click on "Boards of Nursing". A page with links to all the state boards of nursing comes up. Find your state and click on it. When you get your state board of nursing home page, look for a link to the nurse practice act. Or, you will have information there for their address and phone number. Some states will let RN students take the LPN board after a year of school, but not all.

    Welcome to allnurses!
