Assignment for nursing school needing constructive criticism!

So I have an assignment due in about a week and I was just looking for some advise and constructive criticism on my answers. I have always had trouble finding the best way of putting my thoughts into words. It's just short responses to all questions.

Question 13: How does HIPAA and social media play an important role in nursing?

13. Social media is a wide open platform where anyone who has access to your page can see all of your posts and if your page isn't set to private people who you may not expect to be looking can see all of your posts as well, including possible employers, current employment, legal representatives and more. HIPAA has regulations in order to protect patient privacy and confidentiality by establishing legal boundaries in which a patient's information may be spoken about including description of patient , mental status, date of birth, current information, address and any other personal information. This information is protected and when a patient is admitted there is a form signed saying who the healthcare staff can give information to over the phone and in person. Social media is wide open and when a nurse goes to social media to vent about their day, stating detailed identifiable information about a patient in order to explain how they affected their day whether positive or negative it is break in HIPAA. If a nurse has a favorite resident and wants to take a picture of them to show their family on facebook, that is a violation of HIPAA. When it comes to nursing it is best to not talk about your work online at all in order to protect yourself and your patients.

Question 14: Write a definition for malpractice, negligence, battery, assault, slander/defamation of character, and false imprisonment and give an example of each in the work place.

14. Malpractice- When a healthcare professional does something that directly injures or causes emotional distress to a patient through negligence or wrong doings. An example of malpractice is when a nurse is transferring a patient and doesn't use a gait belt but insead holds the axilla area and this results in a dislocated shoulder.

Negligence- Failure to exercise care that any other competent nurse would exercise in like situations. An example of negligence is when a nurse notices a patient's vitals have changed from BP 135/78, P 78, RR 16 & SpO2 98% to BP 105/56, P 108, RR 26, SpO2 84% as well as noting a decreased LOC and doesn't notify the MD until the pt is unresponsive.

Assault- Verbally threatening or acting as if you'll hit someone. Example of assault is a nurse saying "if you don't take your medication, I won't give you your dinner."

Battery- Intentionally touching or hitting someone without their consent and against their will. Example of battery is when a patient tells the nurse "I don't want my b12 shot this afternoon" and the nurse holds the arm and gives the shot anyways.

Slander/defamation of character- Any false statement one claims to be a fact that harms someone's personal and/or professional reputation or causes them other damages, including financial loss and emotional distress. Example is when a nurse tells her coworker that the MD in their office cheated on his wife and she witnessed it, and this coworker is friends with the MD's wife who she tell what she heard, the wife believes it and then confronts him about it and states she wants a divorce.

False imprisonment- The unlawful intentional confinement of someone within fixed boundaries against his/her will and the confined person is conscious of the confinement with belief they can not leave. An example is when a nurse who may be annoyed by a patient puts them in their bed against their will and then puts their wheelchair and/or walker far enough away to where the patient cannot leave the room again until given help.

This needs to be reworded to eliminate run-on sentences . It also needs to be edited for proper grammar.
