Nursing Spring 2017 Nurse Placement

Hello Everyone,

I didn't see any threads for the upcoming semesters so figured I'd get it started. I applied in July with a time stamp of 7-14-16 and received a letter last week stating that the placement for 2017 will begin no later than today 10-20-16. Just curious anyone else I had received a anything?

Also I'm am looking to apply for the CEP with ASU and those applications are being accepted starting 11-1-16

Just got my placement letter to Scottsdale today! Does anyone have any information on their class/clinicals schedule?

10/15/2015. Scottsdale was my 4th choice.

Congratulations for getting in! This is awesome news! I am excited for everyone! I have been there and done that and if you need resources let me know. I am currently making a nurse planner for maricopa students :)

Congrats! We haven't received any information yet. I got my background check code the other day and that's it. We did start a Facebook page for the SCC spring 2017 cohort if you want to join. It's called Scottsdale Community College Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort.

I don't know if you have received the email from SCC by now, but it basically says they have no idea what the schedule will be like yet. There are two orientation dates scheduled, one on 11/23 and one on 1/10, which is mandatory.

I have a time stamp of 2/17/2016. The email i recieved said placement was completed. Now they are working on deferrals and declines. They mentioned I have a pretty good shot for fall, but if not SPR 2018. I really didn't think it would of taken this long.

Thank you for the update, I haven't received that letter yet but I'm sure it will be getting that email soon. Hopefully you can get in sooner than later.

The wait has been over a year for quite some time, with most students waiting 1.5-2 years. You are still pretty far down the list at this point, but your day will come.

I submitted my application 09/28/16. I was told it would only take a couple weeks to get a time-stamp. I have not received anything yet, however. I'm hoping to receive the notice soon as that I can apply for the CEP during the 11/16-01/17 application queue.

I applied in December 2015, but never received a time stamp. My advisor ensured me I was on the wait list, but the majority of the time, I don't get any of the emails they send out, so it makes me a little iffy about whether or not they actually put me in the system

That's weird. I was thinking about contacting the advisor to see if I'm on the list. At least that way I know I can submit the CEP app. I have received a few emails regarding applications being processed and to update my school preferences before a specific date. Then they sent an email which stated there was an error, but they would begin to process applications no later than 10/20.

I got the email saying placement was beginning on October 20th, and then I got an email on my personal email saying they won't be using personal emails anymore, but that is it. Ive never received anything regarding my time stamp, my top 5 schools, nothing. I recently emailed my advisor, about 2-3 weeks ago, about classes next semester and just asking her to double check once again that Im on the list because I am concerned, but she never replied to me...Im planning seeing her on Tuesday, so hopefully that'll clear things up.
