Nursing Schools in Tampa/Clearwater Area

Published

Does anyone know if there are any weekend/evening RN programs in the Tampa/Clearwater area? My husband and I are considering relocating to Florida and the only thing stopping me is that I have been accepted into a Nursing program here like that. Unfortunately I have to work full-time during the day and attend school on the nights and weekends.

I believe (SPC) St. Petersburg College has some evening classes. I know for a fact they do with the nursing transitional program. It's a great school -- national ranked very high -- http://www.spjc.edu/ I graduated from there myself. It was tough, but I didn't have a problem in the world passing my RN boards. You might also try (HCC) Hillsborough Community College http://www.hcc.cc.fl.us/ . That's about it for good two year programs. There are a few more choices if your talking four year programs. Good luck to you!

Thanks SO much for sending me that information. I checked into St. Pete College and they do have an evening program at the Pinellas Park location. I've been e-mailing the director back and forth getting further info. I'm so glad you responded. I thought I had the complete listing of all nursing schools in the entire state of Florida and had called most of them with no luck! St. Pete College wasn't even on my list!!!

Thanks again!!!:D

So Pinellas Park has evening classes? Sweet. Just what I need being I work overnights. Does anyone know if HCC has evening classes?

Yes HCC does offer Evening classes!!!

I graduated in Dec from HCC doing the evening/weekend option at the Dale Mabry campus. They also offer it at the Plant City location. Required less prereqs and no entrance exam was required. :nurse:

Hi. What are the hours of the evening/weekend program? I'm having a hard time trying to find it on their website. Thanks!
