Nursing schools suited for working moms?

I am currently teaching special education and I have always wanted to be a nurse. Actually, to try to make a long story short, I attended Valdosta State and majored in nursing. I was accepted in nursing school but ended up dropping out the second semester due to some personal issues. I graduated with a major in speech therapy. I came back to Atlanta and started teaching even though my heart was in nursing. Now I am happily married and have a 7 month old son. My husband supports my decision to go back to nursing school.

I have tried to gather info from different schools websites but it is overwhelming to say the least lol. I know that I would probably have to take my Human Anatomy's over again for some schools due to me taking the classes 6 and 7 years ago. I want to believe that my gpa was 3.4.

Are there any recommendations on nursing programs that would accomodate me still having to work and take care of home?

Hi. Have you thought about attending Part time program? Brenau has a part time program which I believe is tuesday and thursday night for lecture and weekend for clinical. Brenau is the only program I know that has a part time program. Part time programs start in January every year. Good luck!!! =)

Thank you hlee for replying. I am going to check into them. Do you know if the program is just at the Gainesville camps or is it at Atlanta? That would work out for me.

It is in Gainesville.

Check out Darton College's hybrid program. It can be once a week or once every other week. They start Spring semester off odd years. Applications this year will be through Sept 15 for the class starting Jan 2013.
