I was thinking of Middlesex Community College or Bunker Hill Community College. Im just not sure. I wouldnt mind taking my pre reqs at Middlesex, however I would not want to do Nursing School there because I do not think they are NLN accredited. Not sure though. Thanks for your reply pristock230
heres the link to massachusetts approved programs:
I hope that works.. I think its great that you want to get into nursing. If I were you I would seriously think about going to Salem State ( I think they have an evening program too.. I think), UMASS Lowell or Boston.. they are cost effective and good schools. good luck to you and I definitely think its worth it. With a BSN or ASN you'll make great money and you can go in some many different directions with your career.
Good luck!

I graduated from the undergrad day BSN program at Salem State. They do have an evening program but, the evening courses are for RN-BSN or LPN-BSN students--I am pretty sure the OP said they were starting fresh in nursing & had no other degrees, so I'm not sure the evening program would help there.
Hello,Im a 25 yr old male who is very interested in attending Nursing School. I have been in the Business Industry for about 5 yrs now. I have no degree, so I would have to start fresh, and have not been in school since i was 17 yrs old. What would be the best for me as far as going to school to take Pre-reqs, and get into a nursing program. I live around the Woburn area in MA if this helps. I work full time right now, which Im very serious about quitting my full time job and going to school full time in January of next year. I currently make about $48,000 a yr right now with my full time job? Am I crazy for quitting? If you say so that is fine. I just really think Nursing is my calling and I have a passion for helping people out in need. Which schools are good around this area, and would I be able to go right into a 4 yr school to obtain my BSN? Lost and Confused on which route to proceed?
Hi
I do understand your situation. I went to nursing school when I was 27 years old. I had a degree prior to that in biology. I was also working as a CNA. I am a male. I went to Lawrence Memorial/Regis College in Medford. It is a great school. You could take your pre-reqs somewhere then apply there. I enjoyed every moment at that school. The instructors are skilled and they enjoy what they do as nurses and instructors. I graduated a few years ago, but the school does not change at all. It is part of the Lawrence memorial hospital in Meford. Give them a call and schedule an appt to meet with a councelor. Good luck.
