Nursing Schools in the Philippines

So, I am interested in taking up Nursing in the Philippines, however, I do not wish to go through minor subjects again. I am looking for a decent enough school which has an accelerated program, wherein I am able to finish my Nursing Degree in 2 years, maximum. Please give me actual school suggestions, if possible. Also, my friend told me to look for schools which are not ladderized, what exactly does that mean? I already have a degree. My husband is also interested in taking up nursing, but he doens't have a degree yet. He is an American citizen (born to Filipino parents though, so he is eligible for dual citizenship), and I am a Filipino citizen. No LPNs/ADNs please. I want actual Nursing Schools. Please give specific suggestions, ex. DLSU, UST. We would prefer in Metro Manila of course, partucularly near Greenhills area. Thanks!

Hi! Yes, I speak tagalog. I was originally from there. I just got my citizenship last year. I don't think you'll stay there for four years like what I said earlier, my friend is about to finish her bsn in october. She started in may of 2009. Are you here in california? I see that you have done or is almost done with your prerequisites. I think it will get accredited there. Do you know which school you wanna go to? I am just now starting with the prerequisites... In the fall. So I still have a long easy to go. How are the classes?

Huilin, don't be scared to study in the philippines. You can learn the language. It will be fine. When go you plan to go? Where did you take your prerequisites?

you have an lvn license already? Have you started working as an lvn? How was it like? I wanted so much to work in a hospital. Maybe I should volunteer. How long did it take for you to finish the lvn course?

I finished the pre-req classes in private school in downtown la, sadly thing is that its pre-req classes are not certifated by the state right now, so the other colleges and universities will not accept my pre classes. If I wanna study RN, I only can attend to that school which I finished pre classes, but it is very expensive. I think I have the same situation as you. I am going to study pre-rep classes in college again. I dont konw which school will be accreditted my unit, I am trying to find out the good school. Oh no! You have to take three classes again? Where are you going? I will be starting my prerequisites this fall at a community college. Yeah, keep in touch and let's study nursing in the philippines together. That would be nice. I will not be by myself. :)

I agree. So, are you taking ur prerequisites again? I'll take one class this summer at pierce college and then a couple in the fall. It will take me a long time to finish those prereqs. When do you plan on going to the phils? We have to start saving.

I just got back from Philippines and took entrance tests, physical exam etc in Cavite and will returned on June. Did you guys decide where to study in Philippines. As far as I know, subjects in US is credited.

Im looking for a job right now, I need to make money first, I think I will study pre-req after I find a job. The date when I go to phil depends on when I can finish the pre-req classes. After studying the pre-req, i will try apply the RN program in us first, if i cannot get into program, i will choose the phil. just keep in touch.
