Try looking at the (collegescorecard.ed.gov) site. It lists most schools and will help you evaluate the good from the horrendous.
The most cost effective way to become a nurse is to take the prerequisite courses on the cheap at a community college. After that you can decide what to do.
Remember the operative words are "cost effective" and always know that nursing is not a license to print money.
