hello,
I been trying to find a nursing school i can attend. I live in TN and no nursing school will let me join the program without being a U.S citizen or resident. I tried some schools in AR as well but i was denied due to the hospital not wanting to let me do the clinicals, which is the same thing in TN. I was wondering if somebody can help me with this issue, what schools I'm able to go and do the clinicals. If somebody was or is in my same position please help. Thank you

Why can't you become a resident? I can see why citizenship might out of the question ... but what is the roadblock to establishing residency? Residency is a temporary thing that does not require you to change your allegiance to the country.
its very hard even though i been here for 16 years and they just gave me a work permit. I have a SSN i can work go to school but for some reason in TN they wont let me join the nursing program due to not being able to take clinicals

It's not "for some reason," it's because clinicals are an integral part of the nursing education.
A previous poster asked why you cannot become a resident....?
Because i haven't been approved yet..

OP, have you looked into local community colleges?

Dalton State College in Northwest Georgia welcomes students of diverse backgrounds, and has been repeatedly recognized among the nation's most affordable schools for students earning bachelor degrees. Currently, DACA graduates from Georgia schools of nursing often seek licensing in other states, due to residency requirements for licensing in Georgia. However, an increasing number of boards of nursing are issuing licenses to DACA recipients who have an un-expired Employment Authorization Document. Among these states are New York, and California. A DACA recipient should visit the website for the board of nursing in the state he/she wishes to become an RN. By downloading the applications for initial license and license by endorsement, one can find the documentation requirements for that state. I hope this helps.
