Nursing schools in Colorado

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hello everyone!!

I live in Colorado Springs and finished my pre-reqs for the Nursing program here but I am not very good at tests, especially when it comes to math even though I passed math for clinical calc with flying colors), and I didn't end up passing the TEAS V to apply to the local school here. I decided to apply to Pueblo Community College but I just got my letter saying I was rejected yesterday. I figured it would happen since I have a couple B's and I only have a little bit of CNA experience and I have talked to CNA's with 10+ years experience and straight A's who didn't even get in until their 3rd try! But, my question is, are there any other schools in Colorado (ANYWHERE IN THE STATE) that I can look into?? Also, does anyone know of any LPN programs in COS or surrounding areas? I haven't been able to find one and I would even settle for that at this point just to get my foot in the door!!

THANK YOU!

Can anyone tell me about any Nursing schools in CO where I don't have to wait forever and just hope I get lucky one year getting in? I would even settle for my LPN just to get my foot in the door at this point!

Thanks!

It sounds like you are interested in merit entry community college nursing program in CO. There are several CCs that have switched to merit entry (no wait, reapply each semester). Colorado Mountain College in the West and some of the CCs on the plains (Otero Junior College comes to mind?) are now merit based entry.
