I started school at 45 with 2 kids and youngest going to half day kindergarten.

Frankly, I could not have done it without the support of my husband who took care of the kids and himself while I was studying and preparing for clinical. He also helped quiz me for exams, even though he couldn't pronounce most medical terms. I cried, worried and sweated a lot, but it was ALL worth it and I wouldn't do anything else !! I absolutely love what I do. LuLu

You might feel more at home in an ADN program, where the average age of the students are older than in a BSN. While I always though, how do people do it with kids? I didn't have any kids when I got my ADN and it was hard. It all depends on you. Right now I have a 4 year old and am in grad school. It's not easy, but it's do-able, if yo really want it.
