Hi Everyone,

I am brand new to this site, but will admit I have been "lurking" for a while. SO much helpful information here.

Anyway :lol2:

I was a paralegal for 8 years and decided I wanted to get into the medical field. I began working right out of high school and have no college under me. I would love to get into nursing. I recently completed medical assisting school...and I know HUGE waste of my time...it was awful! I just didnt know what I was getting myself into. I have no idea where to start or what to do at this point to get started. Any advice or suggestions???

Look into nursing programs you might be interested and set up a meeting with a nursing adviser, they will be able to tell you what you need to do and the route you need to take to get there. It's all school dependent.

Best of luck to you :)

Go to your nearest public institution, find admissions, and tell them you want to study nursing there. They'll glad provide you with an allotment of forms and information for placement tests. Get that knocked out and you're in the home stretch.
