Nursing School anyone

Published

Okay I have been in school now for what seems like forever! I have applied for nursing school over 6 semester now and have still not gotten in. I am frustrated, upset and really disappointed. Is anyone else going through this?

I have a decent gpa 3.5, all A's in my math, and science prereqs and I don't know what to do anymore!

HELP

I'll check it out! Thanks for the suggestion, I'd like as many options as possible.

I guess I just get frustrated banging my head against the wall trying to get in while listening to others in nursing school complain about what b*tches their instructors are, how unfair it is that they can't smoke on campus or during clinicals, all the while talking about what awesome money they're going to be making-never speaking with fondness or compassion about their patients or expressing interest over what they learned that day. Maybe I'm just one of those naive ones that gets chewed up and spat out along with my idealistic hopes...

One thing I am proud of is having worked in a level one trauma center ER for almost 7 years-and yes, I "still want to be a nurse"! I've questioned it before, particularly after being screamed at by angry patients (or when a psych patient decided to fling his urinal full of pee all over the nurses station...) but I always come back to it, sometimes with even more conviction.

Sorry for the whining...

I believe the 1 year program at tifton is an lpn-rn bridge.

Has anyone gone through the Generic Track at ABAC? Is it hard to get in and how is the program?
