nursing school (adn) with a 3.4 a possibility

Published

will a 3.4 be too low for nursing school at my local cc?

really depends on the applicant pool they receive and what other factors that the admission committee considers. most schools will either publish or freely share with you what their typical admitted candidate looks like based on GPA, entrance exam scores, experience, total points (if used in ranking), etc.

Just contact them and ask,,,, best of luck.

It depends. I had a 3.1 GPA and a 3.0 science GPA and I applied to a nursing school and was alternate #1. A factor that could have definitely got me in was my hesi score. I got a 72% but if I had a higher score, my chances would have increased. This was during the spring 2018 application. I honestly don't know how the Fall 2018 application may be but I did take extra classes to raise my GPA and will retake the hesi exam again.

It's a possibility! It just depends on other factors they look at for admittance. Number of applicants, TEAS, critical thinking, etc. I got into my program with a 3.47 GPA and a 79 on my TEAS. Some folks with higher GPAs didn't get in because of a lower TEAS scores and vice versa.
