That's going to depend on how the program evaluates candidates for admission. If they only look at the relevant prereq grades and don't have a resume/interview/essay portion in which you mention this information, then it's not going to factor in because they aren't going to know. Because I imagine if they only use your prereq grades to factor into your ranking, then they aren't going to waste time looking over your entire transcript.
I don't think it'll hurt to have those extra courses but as others mentioned most programs have a specific criteria already set in place to determine who they accept and a lot of times it has to do with grades you earn in the prerequisite courses. At least that's how the university I went to was. I was accepted to the college but not the nursing major right so I had to take courses and maintain certain grades to be considered for the nursing program when I reapplied.

I will be applying to nursing school in the spring but I'm already done taking all my prerequisites. So, I registered for some extra classes like medical terminology and first aid/CPR. Will that boost my chances of getting into nursing school?
