I had been in private room for 7 days wit 5%Dex. an Saline @125ml/hr. Had been getting 2mg Dilaudid + Toridol for migraine. Hx of MI in 2010 with 2in stent in LAD. All Plavix ans ASA was held while inpt. I remember feeling as if I was dying and got scared when I felt I was in A closing black tunnel. Also Note nurses found 2 bottles of Rx in Purse and felt like I was taking extra Rx and flying high--NOT, My son had brought them in day before along w/$. I TOLD HIM TO TAKE THEM HOME BUT HE DID'NT AND PUT THEM IN MY PURSE WHILE HE PUT $ IN MY PURSE. Note tox screen came back to only having what they administered!

Please help answer as I need to know what happened. Thank you for your input.

I was given IV Push Labetalol d/t increasing BP d/t not having kept down any oral Rx and having diarhea for 8 days, S/P Gastric Bypass in '07, after 30min I got up slowly to go to BR to urinate and vomit a while standing @ sink to brush teeth __I found myself feeling wery weak and gasping for air with no control to call for help or raise my arms. Thank GOD my IVFs beeped and rn came and called for help as I thought I was dying and out of my control. I then went unconscious though vomiting and having copious amounts of sinus drainage; HR was from 187-298 when a fast response was called my BP was 297/192; HR climbed to highest rate of 338. I came to again(personally unaware) started posturing and chuffing air with ongoing emises. Code team took me to CT where I came to again and seeing the ceiling flowers and sun I recognized it from adm. CT of abdomen. I continued to have little to no control of body as i kept pulling arms/legs up as if drawing then up with continued dry heaves while in CT. CT was negative for Bleed/CVA, but had swelling probably d/t ongoing Migraine. Could I have had a seizure? I am a BSN and only know what I recall or was told. ICU RN thought it was a migraine issue. Please answer my ? as I really need to know what happened to me! Thank You! Leean Palmer RN-BSN [TABLE=class: gsc-search-box]
