Hi everyone,
I have some questions about my nursing path and could really use your advice. Here's my background: I have an Associate in Science- biotechnology, a medical background with experience working as a receptionist and a non-certified Medical Assistant in medical offices, and I also hold an EMT license.
Since I've missed the deadlines for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 BSN admissions, I'm exploring the fastest route to earn my BSN. Here are the options I'm thinking :
1. Enroll in an RN program in Fall 2024 and then transfer to a BSN program.
2. Pursue a Bachelor's in Biopharmaceutical Studies, which would take 2 years, and then apply to an accelerated BSN program.
3. Wait a year, complete all the necessary prerequisites, gather recommendation letters, strengthen my application, and then apply directly to a BSN program for Fall 2025.
I'm not sure which path is the best, and I'm open to any other suggestions that could help me. Thanks!😊

I would enroll into an fall 2024 ADN program and then bridge to your BSN. That is the fastest way. BSN takes a year or less to complete depending on where you go. The RN program is the toughest part (time consuming). The BSN portion is fairly easy (mostly research and writing papers).

Yes, I would also do option 1 and try to enroll in fall 2024 ADN program, sometimes your employer/hospital will help pay for your BSN.

Only way to not do 1 is based on what the job requires. I was military RN for 20 years and it requires BSN. Make sure wherever you want to work and whatever job you want that you meet at least minimum requirements.
