Hello, I'm a California RN looking to work abroad, particularly in the UK and/or Ireland. Can anyone provide me travel nursing recruiters/companies that offer international contract placement?

Thank you.

So I searched here for Ireland. The first relevant thread linked said that 4,500 clinical hours in nursing school is required. I don't think any nurse in the US outside of diploma nurses get that much.

The next thread linked said non-EU nurse applicants are required to have five years of experience.

Of course, no way I would know if either statement is accurate but it does suggest high hurdles to cross consistent with other stories I've heard.

Thanks Ned. I found this company that specializes in recruiting for the UK and IE, Nursing Jobs And Vacancies In The UK And Ireland.. I'm going to contact them and ask some q's in regards to hiring from the states (how many yrs experience they require for non-EU nurses, etc.). Is there anything else I should ask? Your advice is appreciated, thank you.

Ask them how they make money? Typically, you will be an NHS employee. I worked with a Cross Country affiliated UK company when I worked in England who were paid a placement fee by NHS.

Additionally, ask if they have worked with US trained nurses before. Many companies only work with nurses from India, Pakistan, or other commonwealth countries.

Specializes in labor and delivery, OR.

This one is good for Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, wonderful accommodations www.hziegler.com/

Specializes in L&D.

I know specifically that New Zealand does not have travel nurse positions, but an RN is listed on their CRITICAL NEEDS so you can easily get a work visa there as a nurse after you fill out there INSANE application for licensure, and the fee is ~$500 (among other fees)

but nurses there make an incredibly low hourly pay, you would be much better off going to Australia.
