Hi I am not a nurse yet, but math is not my favorite subject, and I have to take a nursing math course or try taking the exam to pass out of it, so far I am doing well with practicing. Can anyone relate, suggestions needed please thanks!

Nursing math is basic arithmetic, with a basic understanding of algebra (to set up formulas). You don't need to be a math whiz, believe me, and most aren't. You DO need to be able to do simple math, and understand the principles behind the formulas in order to do it correctly, though.
Most programs have math classes addressing this specifically, so I don't see this as a big issue.

Med math is very important. Don't just do what you need to pass really learn it. Many hospitals require you to pass a medication calculation test prior to starting so what you learn now you will use later on.
I recommend learning dimensional analysis. It was hard for me at first (I am not a math wiz either) but once I learned it, it's easy to line everything up from start to finish to work out the problem. You tube has a lot of very informative videos on this. Good luck!
Thanks for all the insight and suggestions, I'm so glad I joined this site! :)

Check out Davis's Basic Math Review for Nurses, it really helps.
Thanks :)
