Nursing License

So about 2 weeks ago, one of my patients I work with at LTC fell and I failed to report the fall incident. Would I loose my license or have it suspended? The facility is currently doing an investigation.

I imagine that will depend on the circumstances. Did the patient suffer any injury as a result of your failure to report? If your facility or the family reports the incident to the BON, they could perform their own investigation. While they may issue disciplinary action, I would be very surprised if they pursued revocation of your license, if the patient was not harmed. Action from the BON aside, your facility may very well decide to suspend or fire you for failing to report the fall- again, more likely if they patient was suffered harm or greater harm than they would have had you reported the event.
