Hi there!
I am a new resident to California seeking some advice on how thing's work. My husband is in the navy. I recently applied for my California temporary/permanent license 2 1/2 weeks ago. According to the board of nursing website, they will expedite license if orders were included in application pkg. Ok done! Money has been taken out of my acct. Can someone please tell me the length of time that I may be waiting to at least receive my temporary license?? Also have anyone worked for protocol agency here?? If so, feedback please!
Thanks

I moved here and I started the process before leaving. I don't remember the exact length but I think it was a few months. :)
Good luck and keep us posted! I think what takes the longest is the background check. Are you obtaining reciprocity?

You should type "timeline for endorsement of california RN license" in the search box. When you read that specific thread, you will find out that many nurses are waiting for their applications to be processed for as long as 3 months. The shortest processing I have seen was 6 weeks for the permanent license.
However, I am not sure how fast they would be able to process those applications from military spouses.
Thanks! Hopefully I will hear something soon. Moved here from Va last month.
Yeah, I saw many that were stating that the time frame was long. That's why I applied for temporary license as well..Also did the live scan instead of the fingerprint. Thanks for the feedback!!
