Nursing Kit? and Lab Kit?

Not to sound like a total idiot, but what is a nursing kit? It is on my list of "school supplies".

Also, what are "pratice/ supervised lab kits"?

I was in the bookstore yesterday and asked the clerk. She had no idea. They don't even have them in the bookstore. Her advice was to wait until orientation. She also said that I will probably pay for the "kits" at the bookstore and take my receipt to my instructor, who will in turn give me my "kit".

Sounds hokey, huh?

I am an ADN student and upon acceptance we were only required to buy a steth, B/P cuff and penlight. For the past few weeks I've been on rotation at the hospital and I find that it would be easier to have some sort of kit (tapes, gauze, nice thermometer, etc.) Does anyone know where I might be able to order these things for a reasonable price?
