I know that the job market right now is doom and gloom, but this link should give you some hope from article "Health care, tech jobs to be in demand in Colorado this year, data says"

It's easy to make projections 8 years out. Nobody will remember your prediction in 8 years unless you bring it up because you happen to be right.
There are too many variables to predict with certainty. Data could be wrong and circumstances can change.
If they are right, the question is what will you do to struggle through the next 8 years?
If they are wrong, will your reality be any different?

Yes, and the stockbrokers projected great returns on my portfolio back in 1999!

those studies are done be the colleges that benefit form having many hopeful people applying to their programs. there are many people that will sell out for a faculty parking space.
